Cora is a soft bodied creature living in Blue Lake, California. She makes art, in all forms, by necessity. Cora's paintings frequently touch on motifs of nostalgia and childhood pop culture using a cartoonish, colorful style. She likes peoples' faces, vintage toys, clutter and cartoon horses, and is interested in looking at the interaction of the whimsical and the mundane (and how, often, they're the same thing). Cora's creative process is messy, tactile, and medium-diverse in nature. Grooving percussion and community based music is also a great passion of hers: she plays cello steel pan and has played with the Humboldt Calypso Band for their 2022 spring/fall, and 2023 spring semester sessions. Cora currently attends Bennington College where she studies visual arts.
